In August Ukrainian thermal power stations plan to get 800 thousand tons of coal from the Anti-terrorist operation zone.
According to the vice-prime-minister Valery Voschevsky, Ukrainian coal is delivered to the stations too slowly, as only one of the 9 railway stages works normally.
“Last month we were able to take 600 thousand tons of coal from the uncontrolled territories, but that’s not enough. We have problems with logistics and Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways). In fact, we have only one delivery route – Yasinovataya-Kozlovataya, all the destinations and cargos are concentrated there”, the vice-prime-minister explained.
The important task for the government now is to launch Mayorskaya-Nikitovka destination.
“But there is shooting in that zone. We tried to agree on that, our repair groups went there, but to no avail. We want to settle this in a couple of weeks and get 800 thousand tons of coal from the ATO zone”, added Voschevsky. (Ukrainian metal)
