Moody’s has improved from Stable to Positive the outlook for Rusal.

The company corporate rating remained on Ba3 level.

“Our decision to change the Rusal outlook is connected with the decrease of borrowed money early in the year on the background of the profit increase as the prices for aluminum improved”, the agency said.

In H1 Rusal increased net profit 1.8-fold YoY, to $470 million, with EBITDA growing 1.5-fold, to $985 million.

Revenue grew by 22.3%, to $4.764 billion because of the aluminum price rise and the sales increase. (Ukrainian metal)
