In July, after a yearlong break Ukraine resumed exports of metal scrap to Transnistria, a Russian enclave on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
According to the State Customs Service, the only exporter was D-Kamet LLC.
Under a contract with Moldova Iron and Steel Works, belonging to Russian owners, the company has shipped a batch of scrap via railroad.
According to export documents, the destination country is Moldova. Yet the final place of delivery is the Rybnitsa station, which is in the territory of Transnistria. (Ukrainian metal)
