In April, Ukraine exported 46.32 thousand tons of ferrous scrap, up by 7.1% YoY and by 16.1% MoM.
According to the State Customs Service, the main importer was Poland, purchasing 40.15 thousand tons of scrap (+19.9% MoM), or 88.4% of the total exports.
Greece imported 2.69 thousand tons (-53.4%), Bulgaria – 2.4 thousand tons and Germany – 1 thousand tons (+66.1% MoM).
In January-April, Ukraine exported 127.21 thousand tons of scrap, up by 45.5% YoY. Poland purchased 112.9 thousand tons (0.04 thousand tons in January-April 2024), Greece – 8.42 thousand tons (-7.2%), Bulgaria – 3.97 thousand tons and Germany – 2.13 thousand tons.
Export revenue in April grew by 19.7% MoM and by 71.3% YoY, to $14.94 million, and in January-April by 39.4%, to $39.25 million. (Ukrainian metal)
