In 2024, volumes of metal structures consumption increased by 15% YoY, to 91 thousand tons.
Experts believe that this year the market can grow by 10-12%, to 102 thousand tons.
“The metal structures market in Ukraine continues reviving after the crisis caused by the Russian invasion and economic challenges. The increase in metal structures consumption is connected with the growth of imports in 2024. In H1 2024, there was also positive dynamics thanks to a number of infrastructure projects,” the Ukrainian Center of Steel Construction reports.
The limiting factors for the development of the market is the limits of energy supplies following massive Russian attacks, lack of qualified personnel due to increased mobilization and work force outflow, as well as logistics difficulties.
If the economy stabilizes and the country restoration financing continues, the experts believe metal structures consumption this year will increase by 10-12%, to 102 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
