On March 3, the Commercial Court of Kyiv launched bankruptcy procedure for the Heavy Metal plant in Pershotravensk, Mykolaiv region, which produced rolled metal with polymer coating.
The bankruptcy was initiated by Nordicsteel LLC from Kamyanets-Podilskiy after the majority shareholder Tetyana Taruta decided to shut down the enterprise and appointed new management.
Nordicsteel is owned by Denys Sysukhin and Ihor Yanishin from the Metipol Group, which managed Heavy Metal.
Metipol did not agree to Taruta’s decision to shut down the company.
“After a successful year of operation of Heavy Metal LLC with the largest output and sales in its history, such a decision looks irrational and devastating for the enterprise and its personnel,” the company said. (Ukrainian metal)
