In January-July, Ukraine increased ferrous metals scrap exports by 46.9% YoY, to 149.229 thousand tons.
According to the State Customs Service, in monetary terms exports grew by 60.4%, to $47.8 million.
In July Ukraine exported 24.792 thousand tons of scrap, in June – 22.161 thousand tons, in May – 14.952 thousand tons, in April – 26.153 thousand tons, in March – 20 thousand tons, in February – 23.194 thousand tons and in January – 17.16 thousand tons.
The main customer was Poland (83% in monetary terms), followed by Greece (13.25%) and Germany (3.58%).
Over 7 months, Ukraine imported 639 tons of scrap for $301 thousand, up from 573 tons for $222 thousand last year.
The main suppliers were Slovakia (44.19% in monetary terms), Turkiye (23.59%) and Poland (15.28%). (Ukrainian metal)
