UkrLitiyVydobuvannya LLC, owner of the special license to develop the Polokhovskoye lithium deposit in Kirovograd region, believes that the sea route is the most efficient to export lithium products from Ukraine.
Yet, if the blockade is not lifted, it will be possible to transport lithium via railroad or even in trucks.
The end product of the first stage of the deposit development will be the pentalite concentrate – white powder resembling sand.
“It could be loaded bulk on ships, carriages or trucks. Before the full-scale Russian invasion, China was our main customer. Concentrate could be delivered there by sea. Now we hope to find new customers and possible investors in the EU countries and USA,” the company strategic development director Denis Aleshin has said.
“In case sea transportation is still blocked, and taking into account our planned manufacturing volumes, we will need fifty to sixty 20-ton trucks per day,” he added. (Ukrainian metal)
