Zaporizhstal is commissioning its blast furnace No. 2 after forced mothballing.
Now the blast furnace shop will operate three furnaces.
The blast furnace No. 2 has been mothballed since March 2022. This is the first time that it will be launched during the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The furnace is scheduled to reach its design capacity in the first ten-day period of April.
With the three blast furnaces operational, Zaporizhstal capacity will grow to 8 thousand tons of pig iron per day. (Ukrainian metal)
