ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has announced the decommission of its oldest sintering line, that has been used to provide around 8 thousand tons of sinter per day to the blast furnace No. 1, due to the decrease in output because of the war and in order to conform to its obligation to decrease environment impact.

Now the company will operate three sintering lines instead of four.

With the decommission of the line, annual pollution at the plant will decrease by 29400 tons, or by 13%.

At the same time, modernization of the sintering factory No. 2 will be carried out with the investment of over $180 million. (Ukrainian metal)
