In June, Kametstal will save around 12 million UAH by using the new technique of laying iron ore piles.

Piles are a main raw material for the sinter manufacture. An experiment has been carried out to decrease manufacturing expenses linked to the iron ore part of the charge getting more expensive.

At the first stage, the usage of sinter ore was decreased almost 4-fold, to 70 kg per ton. After that the specialists decided to increase the usage of lime in the mixture, as well as pelletizing centers, resulting in the usage of 50 kg of ore per ton.

Now, the expensive sinter ore is not used in the pile. Piles consist mostly of iron ore concentrate, lime and the products of metal-containing raw materials secondary processing. (Ukrainian metal)
