ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has launched its oxygen converter No. 5, the operation of which was suspended in early March due to the military activity.
“We have launched another important machine after a 3-month downtime. By mixing with scrap and oxygen blowing it turns liquid metal into steel,” the company press service said.
The first smelting was held on June 6 and in an hour the plant received over 142 tons of liquid steel.
