Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and Azovstal have addressed the General Prosecutor’s Office over the theft of metal products by Russian occupiers.
The address was published on June 7.
“Open sources reveal that representatives of the military companies of the Russian Federation (and people from terrorist groups controlled by them), that have occupied Mariupol, are moving the plants’ assets in unknown direction and using them as they like,” the address says.
The facts of the theft are confirmed by the statements of the occupational authorities and collaborators, as well as by tracking data of the RM3 ship, registered in Russia and used to deliver the stolen metal to Rostov-on-Don.
The damages to the companies are estimated at dozens of millions of dollars.
According to the management of the Mariupol Port, the occupiers intend to move 200 thousand tons of metal valued at $170 million.
Most of the metal products belong to Metinvest that calls such actions piracy. (Ukrainian metal)
