In June, Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works intends to re-launch one of its coke-oven batteries.

The works has enough raw materials to increase by-product coke capacities.

In April, the enterprise produced 12 thousand tons of coke and in May intends to produce 17 thousand tons.

In the first half of March, due to the shortage of coking coal DMZ had to use coal slag enriched with tar to operate two coke-oven batteries. The idea worked well and didn’t affect coke quality.

In April, all the scheduled repairs were carried out in the by-product coke department. (Ukrainian metal)
