In January-June, Ukraine produced 16.96 million tons of sinter, up by 7.8% YoY, 4.92 million tons of bulk coke, up by 2.2%, and 10.77 million tons of pig iron, up by 8%.
Steel output grew by 7.4%, to 10.86 million tons, rolled metal – by 6.6%, to 9.63 million tons, and pipes – by 17.4%, to 0.48 million tons.
As of July 12, 19 out of 21 blast furnaces, 7 out of 8 open-hearth furnaces, 14 out of 16 converters, 5 out of 15 electric arc furnaces and 16 out of 17 continuous casting machines were in operation. (Ukrainian metal)
