In January-October 2020, Russia produced 288.98 tons of gold, down by 6% YoY.
The decrease was due to the drop in the by-product and secondary gold output by 9.4%, to 14.3 tons, and by 44.%, to 26.76 tons, respectively.
The share of extracted gold increased by 1.3%, to 247.92 tons.
The Far East Federal District yielded 161.37 tons of gold, Siberia – 75.49 tons and Ural – 10.32 tons. The lowest output was in Privolzhye district – 741.53 kg.
Silver output in 2020 dropped from 813.2 tons to 796.1 tons, with extracted metal share at 363.68 tons, by-product – 271.53 tons and secondary – 160.9 tons.
The Far East Federal District yielded the most silver – 341.57 tons. It was followed by Siberia (10.79 tons) and Ural (10.35 tons). Privolzhye district extracted the least – 969.1 kg. (Ukrainian metal)
