In August, Ukraine decreased steel output by 5.7% YoY, to 1.8 million tons.
Sinter output grew by 2.4%, to 2.8 million tons.
At the same time, coke production dropped by 6.8%, to 820 thousand tons, pig iron – by 1%, to 1.8 million tons, rolled metal – by 6%, to 1.7 million tons, while pipes – remained unchanged at 70 thousand tons.
In 8 months, Ukraine produced 13.7 million tons of steel, down by 6.6% YoY, 21.3 million tons of sinter (+0.8%), 6.46 million tons of coke (-6%), 13.5 million tons of pig iron (-1.2%), 12.3 million tons of rolled metal (+2%) and 540 thousand tons of pipes (-26.9%). (Ukrainian metal)
