This year, Ukraine is expected to decrease steel output by 3% YoY, to 20.318 million tons.
According to the Ministry of economy, trade and agriculture development, rolled metal output is expected to drop by 0.3%, to 18.155 million tons, while pig iron output will not change, remaining at 20.065 million tons.
The forecast was made on the basis of January-June manufacture.
Scrap delivery to metal companies will decrease by 12%, to 2.631 million tons.
Pipe manufacture is expected to fall by 20%, to 820 thousand tons, coke – by 4%, to 9.673 million tons, and refractories – by 14%, to 216 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
