Russia’s gold output rose by 9.4% YoY, to 39.71 tons in January-February, the Finance Ministry said citing the data on supplies to the refining plants.
Mined gold output rose by 11.8%, to 31.75 tons, and by-product gold output increased by 10.5%, to 2.85 tons, while gold scrap production fell by 3.8%, to 5.11 tons.
Russia’s silver output increased by 1%, to 142.3 tons in the period. Primary silver production rose by 4.8%, to 66.02 tons, by-product silver output grew by 11.3%, to 53.82 tons, while production of silver scrap went down by 33.9%, to 22.46 tons. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
