In January-March, metal companies produced 4.62 million tons of rolled metal, up by 1.8% YoY. Some 3.96 million tons, or 85.6%, were exported. In February, Russia imported 289 tons of unrefined copper, up by 69% MoM and by 154% YoY. Kazakhstan delivered all copper. Price dropped from $13.8 to $13.4 per kg. In January-February, exports totaled 460.7 tons, up 2-fold YoY. In monetary terms exports have grown by 112%. (Ukrainian metal)
In January-March, domestic companies received 918.7 thousand tons of rolled metal, including 255.7 thousand tons (27.8%) of imported metal. In Q1 2019, domestic market received 764.1 thousand tons of metal, including 297.1 thousand tons (38.9%) of imported metal.
