The aluminum production of Russia’s UC RUSAL grew by 0.7% QoQ, to 949,000 tons in October-December 2019, the company said in a statement on February 28.

Alumina production rose by 4.7%, to 2.05 million tons, bauxite – by 2%, to 4.026 million tons, and nepheline ore – by 5.6%, to 1.074 million tons. Output of tin foil and packaging was 25,000 tons.

In 2019, RUSAL’s aluminum output remained flat YoY at 3.757 million tons.

Alumina production rose by 1.1%, to 7.858 million tons and bauxite – by 15.9%, to 16.047 million tons, while production of nepheline ore fell by 1.1%, to 4.244 million tons. Output of tin foil and packaging grew by 10.2%, to 98,000 tons.

Aluminum sales in October-December 2019 rose by 1.5% QoQ, to 1.107 million tons. High added-value product sales grew by 3.1%, to 443,000 tons.

In 2019, sales of aluminum increased by 13.8%, to 4.176 million tons, while high added value product sales fell by 7%, to 1.547 million tons.
