Central Mining and Processing Works was the first in Ukraine to install ceramic filters at the processing site.

The new vacuum filters are a part of a large-scale project to produce DRI pellets.

Investments in modernization amounted to $5 million.

The new equipment will allow decreasing the prime cost of natural resources processing.

Ceramic filters need to be replaced once in 18 months, while those made of fabric had to be replaced each month.

Moisture will decrease from 9.4% to 8.2-8.4%.

The filters are intended for the manufacture of 80 to 120 tons of concentrate per hour. Old equipment produced 30-40 tons. (Ukrainian metal)
