In 2019 the level of impact of the Vyksa Iron and Steel Works on the city air decreased more than by 46%.
This was due to the shutdown of the outdated open-hearth shop and some environment protection measures.
In particular, the company has replaced filtering elements and modernized its dust exhaust equipment.
In the past three years VMZ has decreased used water discharge more than 5-fold. (Ukrainian metal)
