According to preliminary data, in 2019 Uzvtorzvetmet increased non-ferrous metals scrap procurement by 1.6 thousand tons or by 9% YoY, to 19.5 thousand tons
The growth was due to the reorganization of the procurement system.
“Last year everything changed in the procurement system, from price and acceptance units to transportation and professional level of our employees. We have repaired our scrap acceptance units, and our employees have been re-trained to be able to correctly identify metals. Moreover, new machines have been added to our fleet”, the company procurement director Alisher Khafizov reported.
The price of lead scrap grew from 4.5 thousand soums in January 2019 to 5.9 thousand soums in December 2019, or by 25%. (Ukrainian metal)
