Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Combine has blown its blast furnace No. 12.

At present the company operates with all of its blast furnaces – Nos. 1M, 9 and 12.

In September BF-12 was shut down because of the drastic decrease in metal price and demand. During this delay the company performed the repair of the furnace.

On December 26 iron ore raw materials were loaded into the blast furnace. The first 65 tons of pig iron are expected to be received until January 1, 2020.

BF-12 was commissioned in August 1956. (Ukrainian metal)
