The blast furnace No. 3 of Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works has been shut down for capital repairs.
The company intends to repair the furnace shaft, the blast furnace top and the charge loading equipment as well as modernize the furnace dust-exhaust system.
The goal of the repair is to restore the blast furnace to its original capacity and decrease environmental footprint.
Investments in the repair amount to 71.2 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
