Uralelectromed is finishing concrete works to create the foundation for the third stage of the copper electrolysis shop.
The third stage will operate using stainless steel cathodes, just like the previous two stages. It will have a circulation system of 224 electrolyzes baths.
The first stage was commissioned in February 2012. Its capacity was 160 thousand tons of copper cathodes per year.
The second stage with the same capacity was put into operation in May 2018.
The combined capacity of the shop, scheduled to be commissioned in 2022, will be 400 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
