ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has started commissioning the turboblower No. 15.
Investments in the project totaled 200 million UAH.
The turboblowers provide the largest blast furnace No. 9 (manufactures 50% of the company pig iron) with cold air.
The blast furnace complex modernization is scheduled for 2021. As a result, pig iron output will increase to 9-10 thousand tons per day.
Last year AMRK concluded a contract with Siemens to construct the electric blower valued at $13 million. So far some 85% of metal structures have been assembled. The project will be finished next year. (Ukrainian metal)
