Evraz KGOK has put a new NP-1 locomotive in operation.
Until the end of the year another similar locomotive will be commissioned.
The machines will be used both at the operating quarries and in the development of the new Sobstvenno-Kachkanarsky deposit of titanium-magnetite ores.
The locomotive with two engine dump-cars can drag 11 loaded dump-cars with 1.3 thousand tons of rock out of deep quarries.
The company also intends to put into operation 240-ton BelAZs and excavators with the ladle volume of 20 cubic meters.
Now Evraz KGOK operates 20 NP-1 locomotives. Each day one locomotive with 11 dump-cars transports around 8 thousand tons of rock. (Ukrainian metal)
