Under an investment project to reconstruct Tashtagol mine the first self-propelled machines have reached the enterprise.

A drilling rig, a boring machine and a loading machine have been commissioned at the depth of 280 meters.

Until the end of the year the mine will receive three more machines.

Until 2021 Evraz intends to have 20 main and 12 auxiliary machines available at the mine.

The project to reconstruct the mine is aimed at increasing iron ore output from 2.2 million tons to 3.25 million tons per year.

Evraz will invest some 6.8 billion rubles in the project.

Tashtagol mine reserves are estimated at 53.8 million tons of ore with the iron content of 40.3%. (Ukrainian metal)
