The testing of the main technological machinery – the cold-rolled metal mill – at the works to produce tinplate in Miory will start on November 1, the CEO of the company Petr Shimukovich said.
The construction of the main manufacturing premises is nearing its end.
In order to test machinery some 8.9 thousand tons of metal are needed, or 140 railroad cars. The company is already looking for suppliers.
The construction of the only tinplate works in Belarus started in 2017. Investments exceed EUR 250 million. The main investor is MMPZ GmbH, Austria.
The capacity of the plant will be 240 thousand tons of tinplate per year. (Ukrainian metal)
