Oskol Electrometallurgical Works has turned 45.
OEMK is the only enterprise of the full cycle in Russia that implements the technique of direct iron reduction.
In 2018 the company produced almost 4 million tons of iron ore pellets, 3.2 million tons of DRI and 3.4 million tons of steel.
OEMK was created in 1974.
The first manufacturing division of the company – the pelletizing shop – was commissioned in November 1982.
In December 1983 the metallization shop was commissioned, in April 1987 – the bar-rolling shop No. 1, and in September 2010 – the metal finishing shop. (Ukrainian metal)
