In January-June the Stepnoy Pit (a part of the Russky Ugol) produced 2.24 million tons of power-generating coal in the Republic of Khakasia, up by 9% YoY.
Coal processing grew by 20%, to 1.9 million tons.
The Stepnoy Pit was commissioned in 1993.
Last year it mined 4.2 million tons of coal. (Ukrainian metal)
