Komsomolskaya mine of Vorkutaugol has put into operation a new long face with the reserves of 535 thousand tons of coking coal.

The new long face 712 is situated at the Troynoy layer in the southern block of the mine.

The average daily output is 4 thousand tons of coal.

The long face is expected to be developed until November.

Komsomolskaya mine was built in 1976. It is developing two long faces at the Troynoy and Chetvertiy layers at the depth of 1100 meters and is the deepest mine in Russia.

Last year 2.1 million tons of coal were mined. (Ukrainian metal)
