In 20219-2022 Russian Copper Company intends to invest some 20 billion rubles in the manufacture.
In particular, projects will be implemented under the long-term strategy of the company to increase raw materials and mineral base and to improve capacity.
Thus, in 2021 Karabashmed will launch the manufacture of copper anodes with the capacity of 230 thousand tons of raw copper (265 thousand tons of anode copper).
The anodes will be processed at the Kyshtym Electrolytic Copper Plant with the capacity of 230 thousand tons of cathodes per year.
The output of the RCC metal division is expected to increase by 40%, to 310 thousand cathodes per year.
Combined investments in both projects will reach 17.5 billion rubles.
Moreover, KMEZ will construct a shop of copper electrolytic foil. There is no such manufacture in Russia. The shop will be commissioned in 2020. Investments amount to 3 billion rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
