In January-May Russia’s imports totaled $94.5 billion, down by 1.5% YoY.

The share of metals and metal wares grew from 7.2% to 7.4%. In particular, from far foreign countries – from 5.8% to 6.2%, but from CIS-countries it fell from 18.5% to 16.9%.

The monetary value of the group remained unchanged, but the physical volumes dropped by 0.4%.

The physical volumes of ferrous metals imports fell by 9%.

At the same time pipes purchased grew 2-fold, ferrous metals structures by 23.7%, and flat unalloyed steel – by 5.9%. (Ukrainian metal)
