The Al-Mg-Sc alloy, developed by the Institute of light alloys and techniques, has successfully passed an international registration and has been included in the international registry of deformable alloys under the 5081 grade.
The new alloy could be used in various spheres, including shipbuilding and aerospace industry.
The registration has been carried out according to terms and conditions of the Declaration on joining the international system of alloy marking, signed by the Aluminum Association earlier this year. (Ukrainian metal)
