A project to create a complex of scrap metal processing and aluminum product manufacturing facilities is being implemented in the Saryarka Free Economic Zone (SEZ) in Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region, the regional akimat (regional state administration) has announced.
The project will be based on the full-cycle Silumin of Qazaqstan plant currently under construction in the free economic zone.
It is expected to produce up to 5.5 million sections of aluminum and bimetallic heating radiators per year.
In the first phase, the plant will create 250 jobs. This number is subsequently planned to increase to 750.
Regional authorities have not announced the expected launch date or investment volume for the plant. (Logistan)
