In January-May Ukraine decreased bulk 6% moisture coke manufacture by 2% YoY, to 4.42 million tons.
In May delivery of coking coal to by-product coke plants dropped by 1% MoM, to 1.29 million tons, with local coals up by 27%, to 230 thousand tons, but imported down by 6%, to 1.06 million tons.
In 5 months deliveries of coking coals grew by 3%, to 6.19 million tons, including local coals down by 5%, to 1.12 million tons, and imported up by 5%, to 5.07 million tons. The share of the imported coal was 81.9% as opposed to 80.4% in January-May 2018. (Ukrainian metal)
