During the visit to the PJSC “Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works”, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky took part in the ceremony of signing the investment contract between Metinvest Holding and Air Liquide on the construction of the air-distributing complex.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont, the press service of the Head of State reports.
“This is a very important event for Ukraine as a whole. This will strengthen the confidence of the western market in the stability of the country,” the President emphasized, adding that the contract was an important signal for investors, who would contribute to Ukraine.
As noted, the agreement was signed by CEO of “Metinvest Holding” Yuriy Ryzhenkov and Vice President of Air Liquide Lasad Jaouani.
The document provides for the allocation of $25 million. This is the first part of a large-scale project that will significantly increase energy efficiency and reduce emissions at the enterprise.
The overall price of the project is $78.3 million. Its implementation will create 1,000 jobs. (Ukrinform/Ukrainian metal)
