A large copper ores quarry will be created near the Salavat-sovkhoz settlement in Bashkortostan.
Aleksandrinskaya Mining Company has won a right to develop the deposit for 59.6 million rubles.
The local environmentalists have asked the authorities to ban the development, as there is a Yakty-kul resort nearby.
But the authorities claim that the company will follow all the necessary norms and in 2022 will carry out a special environment expertise. (Ukrainian metal)
