Evraz has presented new solution for bridges made of rolled metal at the International exhibition Metal Structures’2019.
Yevgeniy Samarin, manager of the market demand development department, has spoken of the flanged beams for the small bridge structures with the length of up to 25 meters.
According to him, the advantage of using these beams in comparison with the traditional welding elements is the decreased volume of welding, which helps lower prime cost of the metal structures and speed up the whole process.
“The usage of metal is almost the same, but the volume of welding is 3-4 times less, and the elements – 2 times. While using a flanged beam, the plant simply cuts it from both ends and gets an element of the structure”, he said. (Ukrainian metal)
