Sumgait Technologies Park (STP) has launched the supply of aluminum sections to Poland. This is the first export of aluminum profiles to Poland in the history of Azerbaijan.
Negotiations on sales started in January and test products were sent to the customer company in late March. The customer originally ordered 20 tons of products as they were in compliance with international standards and passed quality tests. The exported products consist of standard molded aluminum sections.
The export of aluminum sections to the Polish market is expected to increase in the coming months, since the current customer is a wholesaler company that has sent the aluminum sections samples to the companies it cooperates with. The companies also showed a great interest in the STP products.
Although the importing country is Poland, the customer is an Austrian company. Austria is one of Europe’s leading countries in trade of aluminum sections, along with Germany and Denmark. Other European countries receive aluminum sections products through these countries.
STP is currently building relations with all three states on the sale of aluminum sections. Technopark has exported aluminum sections several times to Denmark before Poland. STP plans to sell them to Denmark again this year due to the customer satisfaction.
Sumgait Technologies Park is one of the largest industrial complexes in the region. Commissioned on December 22, 2009, STP is a pioneer in the creation of technology parks in the region. It is a complex of giant factories specializing in various manufacturing areas. In 2017, STP received a status of a resident of Sumgait Chemical Industry Park.
STP manufactures electric power and mechanical engineering products based on modern technologies. In particular, it has launched production of a wide range of cables, transformers, high-voltage equipment, hydraulic turbines, water pumps, electric motors, pipes and technical gases.
Since 2014, the aluminum plant at the Sumgait Technology Park has been producing hot and cold-rolled sections, window frames, aluminum busbars and other aluminum products in accordance with clients’ orders.
Apart from the production of aluminum sections, the plant is engaged in aluminum and copper smelting, etc. The productivity of furnaces is 30,000 tons a year, while the design power of dry paint production is 240 tons per month. (AzerNews/Ukrainian metal)
