Nordgold is not planning to launch the Uryakh project in Irkutsk region in the short-term.
According to the company, the resources available are not enough for the construction of a separate mine.
Thus, this year the company will be carrying out additional prospecting to increase the Uryakh resource base.
Nordgold intended to start gold extraction at the deposit in 2022. As of 2017, the Uryakh reserves were estimated at 2.1 million ounces with the gold content of 3.4 g per ton. (Ukrainian metal)
