In January Armenia produced 822 tons of molybdenum concentrate, down by 8.8% MoM and by 14.1% YoY, and 485 tons of FeMo, down by 31.7%, but up by 41% respectively.

The molybdenum output decrease is due to the low demand from Europe, the key sales market.

In mid-January FeMo (60-70% Mo) prices in Europe fell to the lowest level in 13 months – $25.2 per kg FCA Rotterdam.

In 2018 Armenia produced 11110 tons of molybdenum and 7275 tons of FeMo, up by 1.3% and by 11.9% YoY respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
