Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works has mastered the manufacture of a new channel type.
The 30U channel can withstand considerable pressure and is used in construction and machine-building.
The first batch of products has already been shipped to customers.
So far ChMK has produced 450 tons of 30U channels, and shipped 340 tons.
The rail and beam mill was commissioned in 2013. Since then it has mastered the manufacture of 55 types and sizes of flanged beams, 6 channel types, 3 special purpose sections, as well as rails. (Ukrainian metal)
