Since the start of its sinter shop operation, Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works has produced 150 million tons of sinter.
The sinter manufacture provides the blast furnace shop with high quality ore concentrate.
The ChMK started producing sinter in 1956. 100 million tons were manufactured in 2008.
In 2015 ChMK commissioned a new sintering factory comprising 4 sintering machines. (Ukrainian metal)
