In October Russia produced 6.02 million tons of raw steel, up by 0.6% YoY (5.826 million tons in September). In January-October raw steel output totaled 60.294 million tons, up by 1.6% YoY.
Ukraine, no longer a part of CIS, produced 1.917 million tons of steel, down by 6.7% YoY (1.787 million tons in September), and 17.567 million tons in 10 months, down from 17.57 million tons.
Steel output in Kazakhstan in October remained flat YoY at 380 thousand tons (365 thousand tons). In January-October Kazakhstan produced 3.813 million tons of steel, up by 0.3% YoY.
Belarus manufactured 220 thousand tons of steel, down by 5.2% YoY (215 thousand tons in September), but increased output in 10 months by 5.3%, to 2.022 million tons.
Uzbekistan produced 60 thousand tons of steel in October, up by 20% (the same in September), and 561 thousand tons in 10 months, up by 2.6% YoY.
Moldova manufactured 50 thousand tons of steel in October (as in September), down by 5.7% YoY. In January-October output grew by 33.3%, to 468 thousand tons.
All in all the countries in October produced 8.518 million tons of steel, down by 1.1% YoY (8.303 million tons in September), and 84.725 million tons in 10 months, up by 1.4% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
