In January-October Ukraine decreased rolled metal consumption by 1.34% YoY, to 4.3 million tons.

1.217 million tons, or 28.3%, were imported.

Flat rolled metal dominated the import structure (50.7% against 46.43% for bars). Last year the difference was 57.65% to 41.2%.

In 10 months Ukraine produced 15.36 million tons of rolled metal, up by 4% YoY, having exported 12.28 million tons, or 79.9%. Last year the share of export was 78.4% (11.88 million tons of 15.14 million tons).

The share of the semi-finished products in exports was 43.57%, up from 40.49% last year.

The share of the flat rolled metal was 34.99% against 34.91%, while that of bars dropped to 21.44% from 24.6%.

The main sales markets for Ukrainian rolled metal are EU (33.4%), Africa (17.1%), as well as other European countries including Turkey (13.5%) and the Near East (11.3%). (Ukrainian metal)
