The Energy and Coal Industry Ministry impeded the process of creating the National Coal Company, according to Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
“At the previous meeting we decided to allocate UAH 500 million for coal mines and to establish the National Coal Company. Now the process of its creation starts. The ministry had hampered this process and we had to give it a boost,” Groysman said during Government Question Hour meeting.
He recalled that the draft budget envisaged UAH 2.6 billion for the modernization of coalmines in Ukraine.
The Cabinet of Ministers on December 6, 2017 approved a decision to establish the state-owned enterprise National Coal Company. (Ukrinform/Ukrainian metal)
